Artworking and pre-press

Artworking turns approved designs into files that print and publish perfectly. We prepare, check and adapt artwork to exact specifications, keep everything consistent with your brand standards and work with your printers and suppliers until the job is delivered.

How we help

A beautiful design can still go wrong at the printer. Missing bleed, the wrong colour profile or a low-resolution image can mean an expensive reprint. Artworking is how we make sure that never happens.

Correct first time

Every file we prepare is checked against the printer’s or publisher’s specification for size, bleed, colour, resolution and fonts. We proof carefully for spelling, pricing and legal details too, because those errors are the costliest to fix after printing.

One design, every format

Campaigns rarely live in one size. We adapt master artwork into every format you need, including print adverts, posters, packaging, digital banners and social posts, keeping the brand consistent across all of them.

From file to finished product

We can manage production for you, liaising with printers and suppliers, checking proofs and overseeing the run so the finished work matches what you approved. It’s the natural final step after our graphic design work.

Questions

What's the difference between design and artworking?

Design creates the concept and look. Artworking takes the approved design and prepares it technically for production, adapting it to every size and format and making sure it will print or display correctly.

Can you adapt one design into many formats?

Yes. Adapting a master design across dozens of sizes and formats, such as adverts, posters, social posts and packaging, is one of the most common artworking jobs we do.

Do you work with our printer?

Yes. We'll work with your preferred printer, or recommend one, and handle proofs and technical questions on your behalf.
